I hope all is well. It hit 93 degrees here yesterday and the heat index indicated it feels more like 112! It's HOT here in Florida. The coin market is quite warm and as we call it in the business, it's an educated market which means not only collectors but investors are buying coins not only because they like them but because they are part of an overall plan. This weeks hand picked offerings begin with a beautiful 1890-CC Tailbar Morgan Dollar with delightful original toning and in high grade NGC MS-64, followed by a scarce Civil War dated 1865-S Half Eagle in choice extremely fine 45 by PCGS, next up is a delightful 1874-CC Gold Eagle also in Extremely Fine 45 and choice, to a very small premium over spot gold double eagle of 1888 in choice uncirculated NGC MS-62. Next coin is a rare pattern/prototype half dollar of 1859-Judd 236 in very choice Proof 62 by PCGS and CAC, across the atlantic to 1910 Germany and a very choice 3 Mark Silver in Gem Proof 66 followed by a gorgeous and rare Proof British Sovereign of 1821 back across the atlantic and across the fruited plain to California where we show a scarce 1872 California Gold Washington Head fractional gold quarter in Gem PCGS MS-66!
